“I gave my Rawlings baseball glove to my daughter when she was in junior high”, explains Ellen. “At the end of the season she accidentally came home with a different glove. I instantly felt very sad but I didn’t understand why. So I began to ask my friends if they still had their first glove and what it meant to them. I consistently received stories of Sunday afternoons playing catch with dad or friends and family picnic baseball games. I realized that I was not the only one with these memories. Everyone remembered their first baseball glove; the stories behind them had great meaning. I began thinking that it would be a wonderful idea if we could create everyday products that helped bring back the memories attached to our baseball gloves.
